Libby and her husband have registered with us in 2018 and have hosted more than 20 students since then. Now retired, John loves having kids around to keep a young spirit and Libby loves teaching.
Wendy and Martin have registered with us right at the start of the organisation. Since then they have hosted on and off when they felt fully available to dedicate time to students.
« Just to share something wonderful that happened today. An unexpected parcel arrived from two of last years students (Lina and Colombe). They kindly sent us a beautiful hardback book which contains photographs and text detailing their 2-week stay with us this time last year.
This unexpected gift was wonderful to receive and makes it all worthwhile- we will treasure it 💖 «
« It’s always a pleasure to hear from you. I hope your Mum is well. We aren’t having students this year, but please keep us on your mailing list, as our situation may change in the future. We are still in contact with 3 of the students you introduced to us. Laura, who now lives and works in England, Manon, who’s training to become an English teacher and Agathe, who’s a sous-chef in Paris. We feel quite proud of their achievements and like to think we’ve helped them on their way. »
Corrie registered within the network 3 years ago and has hosted 7 students since then. She loves having kids around in her peaceful little farm to show them a good and loving time.
Khadine, her husband and their 4 kids have hosted for 6 years when Khadine was only working from home, making and selling her crafts online. It was a great way for her to make ends meet.
« Yes I am very happy working with you. It’s beyond expectations. It is the kindness if you would like, rather than business-like tone in your email. the kindness, friendliness, openness in your emails ».
« We have always been very happy and saw you put a lot of effort in the background, finding the right families to send to us because the students have always get on well with the family, their interests have always been on topic, they got on well with the children. That’s always been positive and we can really see you have always tried to piece the puzzle together. »
Rose, her husband and their dog, have been with us for 3 years. As they were not qualified as English teachers they hosted students who did not ask for tuition.
Vivian and David have been registered with us for 6 years (presently on pause as they are moving and renovating). Vivian is a great teacher and has given us great advise for us to improve our service to students and hosts.
« We hope that you can find placements for all the students, it is a rewarding experience and would highly recommend to others. »
« Your services: Thank you once again for your everything, your attention to details, your professionalism, your e-mails, your time!, we can see you are putting your heart into your business and that should have a positive result. »
Polly, her husband and their 2 kids have registered with us 4 years ago and have done above 20 hostings since then. Polly is an English teacher and her husband a contractor. They love having kids at home and they have save the extra-income to pay for extras :
Heather, her husband and their two boys have hosted when the kids were aged 9 and 13, up to 13 and 17 years old. As she was an independant worker at the time it helped her to make ends meet, hosting when she was not working and all from home :
(regarding our news of the year email)
